October 2026 Trust & Community Updates
CURRENT🛡️ Trust & verification
- • Added a Cebby partner badge for events from communities with a signed Cebby partnership. It is now the strongest trust signal, and partner organizers are highlighted on event pages.
- • Added a live reliability snapshot to How Cebby verifies events, covering source coverage, partner and trusted organizer coverage, multi-source confirmation, and recent checks.
- • Made trust badges look the same on event cards, community pages, and the verification explainer, and folded the Official source badge into Imported.
🔍 Discovery experience
- • Featured events now sort first within each time group and carry a ★ Featured badge on cards and event pages.
- • The homepage Communities section now shows partner communities, most recently active first.
- • Smoothed list-to-detail transitions so event covers stay rounded and the source strip morphs into place instead of popping in.
🤖 AI agents & developers
- • Added WebMCP tools so in-browser AI agents can search events, open event details, and filter the calendar, in browsers that support the draft API.
- • The search API can now list upcoming events soonest-first and returns readable Manila-time timestamps, so assistants quote dates correctly.
- • Cleaned up public API routes, removing unused endpoints and adding caching and paging limits to search.
🧰 Admin operations
- • Added duplicate candidate detection and merging for cross-posted events.
- • Changing an event's canonical source now pulls that source's details, including Facebook event dates.
- • Operators can set an event's trust badge, and rescrapes keep that choice.
- • Added an event audit log for merges, canonical source changes, visibility changes, trust badge changes, and organizer edits.
🔒 Security & privacy
- • Signed-in API routes now verify every session with Logto instead of trusting token contents.
- • Removed the dormant RSVP and check-in endpoints left over from the retired RSVP feature.
- • Shared Wrapped pages no longer include the owner's email in their data.
🚀 Improvements
- • Improved how search engines and AI search read Cebby, with homepage structured data and city-level event locations with map coordinates.
- • Matched the app theme color to Cebby purple, added long-lived caching for icons and splash screens, and refreshed the install screenshots.
- • Removed the Beam analytics script after it started failing to load for visitors.
🐛 Bug fixes
- • Fixed an outage on October 1 where every event page returned an error after an SEO update.
- • Fixed calendar events showing times in the wrong timezone.

Cebby 2.0
MAJOR✨ The reset
- • Cebby drifted into being half organizer-toolkit, half directory. The survey was clear — nobody wanted the toolkit half. We reset to the one job people actually had: stop platform-hopping for Cebu tech events.
- • Cut everything that fought the calm — RSVPs on Cebby (we deep-link to Luma / Eventbrite / Meetup / Facebook instead), ads in the feed, looping animations, premium-tier framing. Cebby stays free, ad-free in the feed, and accountless.
- • Every page got a fresh soft-3D face — tactile cards, real elevation, no kinetic noise. The product and design direction is now locked in /.impeccable.md so the directory stops drifting.
